Editorial Policy
This page explains how articles on the Tooljip Blog are produced, what standards they must meet, and how to report a mistake.
What we publish
We publish practical guides about everyday digital tasks: working with PDFs and images, understanding text and data formats, everyday math and unit conversions, time management, and probability. Each article targets a specific question that people ask, and tries to answer it more clearly and completely than a quick search result.
We avoid topics where a wrong answer could seriously harm you, such as medical, legal, tax, or investment advice. When an article touches money or health in passing, it explains the math or the concept and points you to a qualified source for decisions.
How articles are made
- Topic plan. The editor chooses each topic, the search question it should answer, and the angle it should take.
- AI-assisted drafting. A first draft is written with AI writing assistance, following written guidelines that forbid invented statistics, quotes, studies, product features, and personal anecdotes.
- Automated checks. Every draft is checked for structure, length, broken or unapproved links, duplicate content, placeholder text, and phrasing we do not allow.
- Independent fact-check pass. A separate AI review reads the draft as a skeptical editor, looking for factual errors, unverifiable claims, and unhelpful sections. Drafts with problems are revised once and checked again.
- Publication. Drafts that pass every check are added to the publishing schedule. Drafts that fail are held back for manual review or discarded.
Each article shows its publication date and, when it changes, the date of its last update.
Accuracy standards
- Formulas and calculations are shown so you can check them by hand.
- When a detail depends on the app version, device, or country, the article says so instead of guessing.
- External links point only to primary sources such as standards bodies and official documentation.
Corrections
If you find an error, email [email protected] with the article link and, if possible, a source. Confirmed errors are corrected and the article's "Updated" date is changed.
Advertising and independence
The site is funded by ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are labeled "Advertisement" and placed between sections, never inside instructions or disguised as content. Advertisers do not see articles before publication and cannot request changes. We do not accept payment for articles or links.
