About Tooljip
Tooljip (tooljip.com) is an independent website run by a solo developer in South Korea. It began as a collection of free, browser-based utilities for Korean speakers: a character counter, unit converters, PDF and image tools, timers, and random pickers. The Tooljip Blog is its English-language companion.
What the blog covers
Every tool on Tooljip exists because people search for the same small tasks again and again: shrinking a PDF for an email, converting an image format, working out a percentage, or planning a meeting across time zones. The blog explains the ideas behind those tasks in plain English, so you can handle them with whatever software you already use.
- PDF guides: file size, merging, splitting, and conversion
- Image guides: formats, compression, resolution, and resizing
- Text & data: encodings, data formats, timestamps, and color codes
- Everyday math: percentages, discounts, and unit conversions
- Time & productivity: focus techniques and planning methods
- Randomness & probability: fair picks, coin flips, and dice
Some topic links may show a short list while the blog is new; new guides are added on a regular schedule.
How we write
Articles aim to answer one question well: the direct answer first, then worked examples, formulas, and step-by-step instructions you can check yourself. We use AI writing assistance and automated quality checks as part of the process. The details are in our editorial policy.
How the site is funded
Tooljip is free to use and is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads are labeled and kept separate from article content, and advertisers have no say in what we write. We do not publish sponsored articles.
